CAROL concert: At Pamber Heath Memorial Hall, on Sunday, December 10, starting at 6.30pm, where there will be music from Hannington Band and The Hurst Singers.

Everyone is welcome to come along, listen to the music and join in your favourite carols.

FATHER Christmas: Arrives in Silchester via the Lions Club on Monday, December 11, from about 6.30pm.

Please be generous as the collection is for several good causes.

PHOENIX Club: Meets in the hall on Wednesday, December 6, at 2.15pm.

The entertainment will be by Silchester School Choir, followed by a raffle and Christmas tea.

PANTOMIME: Tickets are now available for this year's panto, Babes in the Wood, from 0118 9815600.

It is on January 26 and 27 and February 2 and 3.
