VILLAGE hall AGM: Took place on November 22.
There were new reps from NADFAS and the gardening club and a new invitee member and adviser on buildings.
The committee was sorry to lose Alan as caretaker, but pleased that Jan had taken over and successfully introduced recycling over the year.
The first professional theatre performance (Born to Run) was followed by Tales of Aesop and Tales of Otherness, and also the newly-formed Loddon Players had performed, all very successfully.
Tenants at number two had recently left and a change of use was being considered.
There had been a successful barn dance, a new door on Liddell Hall and repairs to the hall roof.
New tables and a sound system were soon to be installed.
It is the village hall centenary in 2009 and Lois Batting and Kathleen Gaiger are working on the archives to produce a history of the hall.
Fundraising plans include a barn dance on January 20, and, on the same day, children's entertainment in the afternoon.
CHRISTMAS post: The Scouts are providing their Christmas card delivery service until Tuesday, December 12.
Cards should be addressed clearly and placed in the box together with a donation of 10p per card. A collection box will be in The Shop.
CELEBRATION: A Christmas celebration day will be held in the village hall on Saturday, December 16.
