CHRISTMAS fair: Nearly 100 people enjoyed this Ellisfield tradition.
Thanks to Caroline Cazenove for her organisational skills and to everyone who worked so hard.
The tables were overflowing with beautiful crafts, handmade Christmas cards, homemade and homegrown produce.
The tombola had so many prizes that everyone was a winner, and there were plenty of activities to keep children happy, including a chocolate fountain.
Celia Lunn's Christmas cake was won by Pam Frankham. Judith Richards, Murray Liddell and Richard Haas won the hampers and the handmade doll was won by Peter Ford.
TSUNAMI in Ellisfield! You can't have missed the heavy rains recently.
The drainage ditches in Green Lane breeched their banks and, at one time, a great wave of water was rushing down past lower common deep enough to come over the top of wellington boots.
PARISH council: The next meeting is on Monday, December 4, starting at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall.
