BUSES: As mentioned in last week's column, Stagecoach has made some revisions to its bus services, starting on December 3.
The service running through Chineham changed from Line 2 to Jazz 1.
The main benefit will be a frequency doubled to 10 minutes throughout most of the day.
The new buses on the route will have low-level access, making it easier to board.
Modifications are to be carried out to the bus stops to make the height of the access platform of the bus level with the hard-standing at the bus stop.
GAS: Following the hair-raising accident in Reading Road in front of the Indian restaurant, nearby residents are requesting that the gas regulator which was damaged, causing the serious gas leak, be buried underground so that the danger of a similar incident is removed.
THE Edge (Chineham youth congregation): A weekly service, led in partnership between Christ Church and the Community Church for young people at senior school and college, meets on Sundays, from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The service includes Bible study, fellowship, talks, fun, food and more.
