CHRISTMAS party: Brookvale Community Association is hosting a party for children on Saturday, December 9, from 2pm until 4.30pm, at the hall in lower Brook Street.
A monetary donation will be requested on entrance.
Children will be able to participate in face painting, card making and listening to Christmas stories, as well as being entertained by a magician. Santa will also be making an appearance.
More information can be found in the local flyer called The Blurb or by checking the website www.brookvale.org.uk
BABY and toddler group: Is every Monday, from 9.45am until 11.15am.
The cost is £1.20 per family and includes all activities and refreshments.
For more information, contact Natalie on 840114.
FLOODING: Following my comments last week, I received a call from a resident of George Street whose garden was under water for the third time in a month.
Having made enquiry at the local council concerning the state of the brook, she was redirected to the river authority in Frimley.
It seems that it is only responsible for maintenance of the banks and that all other maintenance of the brook is the responsibility of the homeowners flanking it.
