BASINGSTOKE Voluntary Action (BVA), in partnership with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and local training providers, have responded to feedback and developed a new programme of courses for 2019/20.
If your community organisation has identified training needs for trustees, volunteers or paid staff (for example charity law, health and safety, making funding applications, first aid, managing volunteers, safeguarding) there will probably be a course to suit you.
For those who do not find what they are looking for, get in touch with the BVA team.
The annual programme of training courses runs until March 2020, with courses scheduled at The Orchard in the centre of Basingstoke and at convenient times to minimise impact upon people’s daily schedules.
The BVA team has also developed a simpler and streamlined bookings and payment system this year.
Attendees who work or volunteer for BVA member organisations receive access to a discounted price per person - see individual course descriptions for more details.
Organisations interested in becoming a member of BVA should go to bvaction.org.uk/join.
Upcoming courses include:
Monday - Effective Trustees - Demonstrating Outcomes
Wednesday - Effective Trustees - Induction and Refresher
Thursday, 1 August - Building an Effective Online Presence
Wednesday, 28 August - Effective Budgeting and Financial Planning
Thursday, 29 August - Trustee Recruitment and Retention Skills
