ADVENT fair: Will be held on Saturday, from 11am to 2pm, in Bramley Village Hall.
The Bramley School Association and village hall trustees have joined together to make this an event for all.
There will be a Santa’s grotto, a special childfriendly room where they can choose gifts for family and friends and have them wrapped up for them. There will be plenty of interest as organisations man stalls with local arts and crafts. Contact 07747 441256.
LIFEBOATS: Although the weather on November 14 was appalling, supporters bravely turned out and the amount spent on the seasonal goodies, toys and lovely donations of goods equalled the £1,600 raised at the 2008 Christmas Fair.
The RNLI relies on money raised at such events and the organisers thank all who donated goods and those who went to the sale.
PARISH council: Met on November 16. There was discussion on the effect of the SLR speed devices. The matter will be looked into further, meanwhile sufficient funding will be retained in the budget.
Representatives of Little Apples Playgroup again attended, answered questions regarding the proposed building and type of fencing.
A representative for friends of Farriers Group said that they would await the submission of the planning application before taking advice.
BRAMLEY and Romans Floral Society Christmas event: Will be held on December 4 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
Tickets, at £8 for visitors or £5 for members, are available from Dusty on 01256 881420 or Sibyl on 01256 881182.
