BRIAN Sperring: Chineham lost one of its very committed and vocal members of the community last week.
Parish councillor Brian was a former editor of the Chineham Chat, and up until his passing last week, was a parish council representative on Chineham Village Hall management committee and also the parish transport representative. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.
CHINEHAM Conservation Group: Will be meeting this coming Sunday. In this session, the group will be tree planting in Tollhouse Meadow. The working party will run from 10am until 1pm. All equipment and tea and coffee will be provided.
All are welcome, although children should come with adults please. For further information, please contact Ann on 07963876440.
CHRIST Church activities: The church has groups for children and young people of all ages (from birth to 18 plus) that meet on Sundays from 10.30am.
They have lots of fun learning about Jesus and the Bible. Everyone is welcome to join and there is no charge.
If you would like to find out more about these groups, or other church activities, please contact Ruth on 474280 or e-mail admin@christ churchchineham.org.uk or pop into the office.
FINALLY: Work is now well under way in enhancing broadband services in the Basingstoke area.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that Chineham, despite being one of the worst hit areas in terms of speed/service, will have its issues resolved.
The Spotlight section on the Chineham website has been discussing this matter and you can join the debate by going to spotlighton chineham.co.uk.
