AT our annual meeting in November, our committee for the coming year was elected to work under the leadership of our ongoing president Jan Blight.
The report for 2009 showed just how many outings and other activities took place. We now look forward to our tenth decade as we celebrate our 91st birthday in March.
As evidence of the wide range of interests shared by our members, 24 of us went to The Haymarket theatre on Tuesday, November 10, for another enjoyable evening of a BATS musical presentation – this time My Fair Lady.
On Tuesday, December 15, a group will be visiting The Vyne at Sherborne St John to see the house decorated for Christmas, followed by lunch at a nearby venue.
Keeping the Christmas theme, tomorrow, at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Parish Room, Old Basing, four of our talented members will be sharing their skills with the rest of the membership on the subject “Preparing for Christmas”.
