A VICTORIAN cottage has been given a £50,000 makeover to create a contemporary interior for the 21st century.
The vendor of Cheshunt Lodge, in Sherfield-on-Loddon, has carried out the refurbishment of the cottage over the past couple of years and is now marketing through estate agent Enfields with an asking price of £349,950.
On the ground floor, the cottage (pictured left) has an open-plan design with stone-tiled flooring and underfloor heating to the whole area. Recess spotlights are also part of the new look.
The lounge has a feature fireplace and opens to a dining area, while the kitchen has a state-of-the-art look with black units and granite worktops.
Fitted appliances in the kitchen are an oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer.
Upstairs, Cheshunt Lodge offers two bedrooms, both with built-in wardrobes, and a shared family bathroom.
The Enfields sales details say that the cottage boasts a range of features that are too exhaustive to list.
The agents add: "The property sits in mature grounds and the outlook is not marred by any other developments."
