We tried out The Café Dome in Basingstoke and this is what we thought.
The Café Dome, locally known as The Dome, is a community café located in Brighton Hill Parade, run by The Café Project Basingstoke.
The Café Project Basingstoke is a charity, set up to help and support young adults with learning disabilities, through providing training and experience.
Recently we visited Mr Munch, in Festival Place, and asked our readers where we could get the best breakfast in Basingstoke, several people recommended The Dome.
Reporters Mark Paine and Lola Crossman went to check it out, to see why so many people recommend Café Dome.

I had the vegetarian breakfast, costing £4.75, it came with two vegan sausages, an egg and baked beans. Then I had the option of either white/brown toast or fried bread. I added two extra hash browns to the meal, (85p each) as personally I feel a cooked breakfast is incomplete without a hash brown.
I couldn’t fault any of it, the vegan sausages were delicious and were packed with flavour. My egg, hash browns and baked beans were cooked perfectly. The hash browns were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, just as I like them.
The service was top-notch, we waited to be seated and were led to the table and given a menu in about a minute. After ordering, our drinks came without much wait, I opted for a latte, which was accompanied by a Speculoos biscuit. The coffee was just as lovely as the food, and for £2.75, a very fair price.
The café is also perfect for anyone with dietary requirements, serving vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. I am partial to oat milk with a cup of coffee, so I was glad to see milk alternatives offered at no extra cost.
The wait staff were attentive, polite, and happy to help in any way they could. I would say the Café Dome is a very strong competitor for the best breakfast in Basingstoke.
My colleague Mark Paine went for an all-day breakfast (£4.75) served with sausage, bacon, egg, baked beans and an option of white/brown toast or fried bread. He opted for the fried bread, whereas I went for the white toast.
He echoed many of my sentiments about good service and incredible food, with a particular appreciation for the fried bread, an offering he finds to be somewhat unique.
He scoffed the sausage and bacon down immediately, so I would say it's more than fair to say he enjoyed them.

Mark opted for the cappuccino, dusted with cocoa powder, for £2.75, also accompanied by a Speculoos biscuit.
We both found the meal incredibly good value for money, a meal, and a coffee for two worked out at around £16.
The café itself was clean, well-decorated and spacious, it felt like a good atmosphere to enjoy breakfast in.
Mark added: “I thought the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The Dome has a lovely, homely feel to it, the service was impeccable and the breakfast was absolutely gorgeous.
“I managed to get a traditional breakfast and a coffee for about £8, and they even offer fried bread, which I love.
"It's nice and cosy inside, it looks great, the staff were excellent and very attentive, the food was smashing, and the cost was very reasonable. I'd highly recommend The Dome.”
