NEW interactive experience Soldiers’ Journey opens at Milestones Museum in Hampshire next week.
This exhibition, which runs from August 5 until January 11, been designed to help young visitors to understand what it would have been like to live in Hampshire during the First World War.
It invites them to travel back in time with Tom and Emily, two fictional characters that will lead the children in a journey of discovering around the museum.
Participants will be invited to help Tom and Emily to solve the mystery of the suspicious stranger, make friends with a war horse and meet soldiers from across the world.
Young visitors will be given a copy of Tom’s Diary that will lead them through the war years, pausing at ‘story stops’ where you can complete tasks and learn about life in First World War Hampshire.
Soldiers’ Journey is part of Hampshire County Council’s multi-venue Soldiers' Journey exhibition.
The experience will include life size talking illustrations, video of an empire day lesson and live costumed interpreters during weekends and school holidays.
Normal admission charges apply.
