A NIGHT of mirth is on the cards at Basingstoke’s Central Studio.
Central Comedy returns on Friday with a night full of wisecracks, one-liners and crowd heckling.
Presented by Mirth Control, regular Basingstoke compere Matthew Baylis is returning to guide the audience through the evening’s revelry.
The line-up features Perrier Award nominee Dan Antopolski, an Edinburgh fringe favourite who has a list of television and radio credits to his name, including BBC 2’s Hyperdrive, and as Jesus in The Da Vinci Code.
Joining him is Hils Barker. As a newcomer, Barker was a finalist in Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny, and she has since gone on to write and perform in Radio 4’s sketch show Radio 9.
She has also written and performed in a range of BBC programmes and last year was invited across the pond to perform in NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Also on the bill are Tony Tinman and musical comedy from Basingstoke’s Paul Walsh.
The evening starts at 7.30pm and tickets – costing £10, or £8 with concessions – can be booked on 01256 418318, or at centralstudio.co.uk.
