CLASSICAL and seasonal songs are being performed by a talented young singer at a Basingstoke arts venue this week.
Olesea Perelighina, pictured, is putting on a Christmas Concert on Friday at Fairfields Arts Centre, where she is an artist-in-residence.
The programme will include pieces by Mozart, Donizetti, Rimksy-Korsakov and Schubert, as well as some well-loved Christmas songs, accompanied by pianist Miriam Benkova.
Perelighina, who is originally from Moldova, studied for five years at, and graduated from, the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, in Chisinau, Moldova.
She now lives in Basingstoke and is not only a wonderful singer, but also an excellent performer with a wide-ranging repertoire.
Due to popular demand, the talented artist will also be performing the Christmas Concert programme on December 16 and 18, each starting at 7.30pm at Fairfields Arts Centre.
Her last three performances have sold out, so early booking is advised and tickets, which cost £4 or £2 with concessions and are free for children under four, can be booked by calling 01256 321621, or online at fairfields.org.
