WILLIAMS Audrey (Widow) of Alliston way Whitchurch died aged 92 on the 6th June 2021 peacefully at The Royal Hampshire County hospital. Loved and missed by her very large family. Audrey was a Telephonist and supervisor with the Post Office Telecommunications first at the Aldershot Telephone Exchange 1959 1964. From1964-1968 Audrey became resident caretaker/telephonist at Whitchurch in one of the last very old fashioned manual exchanges, situated above the, then, post office now a wine merchants. Finally Audrey worked back at Basingstoke telephone exchange as a telephonist and then Supervisor/Trainer from 1968 until 1987 when she retired. Details: DerekWilliamsPtns@Outlook.com
