Roger David TAPPING

TAPPING Roger David Eldest son of Rosalind and the late Ken Tapping, brother of Simon, Paul and Rachel, husband of Natasha Brofsky and father of Cordelia and Eleanor. Died peacefully on January 18th 2022 aged 61 at home in New York with his family by his side, having been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. "one of the most passionate and celebrated chamber musicians of his generation" He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and students. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Roger Tapping Scholarship to support violists who demonstrate financial need at the Juilliard School may be made in his memory. Very fond memories from primary school and the 6th form of Roger as a very intelligent, kind and wonderfully gifted person. So sorry to hear the news of his death. His musical achievements were exceptional - truly world class - and he will be greatly missed by many, but obviously for those closest to him the loss must be unbelievably hard. Thinking of you all.
