BEVAN Kenneth It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenny 'Basher' Bevan from Overton after a short illness. A church service will be held at St Mary's Church, Overton on Thursday May 5th at 2.00pm. His family welcomes those that wish to pay their respects to this kind, generous man who in his lifetime supported his family and friends as well as his community by way of the local football and social club.

I was very sad to read about Kenny’s death. He started school in Red Lion Lane on the same day as my mother-in-law. Kenny’s mother grew up in my in-laws house.

His knowledge of the residents of Bridge Street was amazing.

He also had a wicked sense of humour. Many times when I visited, he pranked me. Usually pretending to be asleep.

He was very proud of his family and told me all about them.

Rest in peace Kenny, you were one of a kind.
