MACDONALD-SMITH Margaret With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved mother, (Lucy) Margaret MacDonald-Smith (nèe Maxwell, formerly Woollett) who died peacefully on Thursday 23rd November at the Winchester Hospice. Margaret was born on 1st June 1921 at Hutton, Berwick, served as a military nurse during the Second World War, before marrying Charles Woollett in 1947. Charles and Margaret had two children, Lucy (Annette, 1/12/1954) and Andrew (18/08/1956) and three grandchildren, Jack, Angus and Honor. After Charles's death she married Hugh MacDonald-Smith CB in September 2008 and they had six happy years together. Margaret's funeral will be held at the Basingstoke Crematorium at 2pm on Monday the 18th of December.
