PUPILS at Overton Primary School took a trip back in time when they took part in an historic project.

Nearly 50 pupils, aged seven and eight, had five weeks to create a research project about the Romans.

The students managed to create some jaw-dropping models, including tiny versions of the Colosseum, projects based around the original gladiators and models of beautiful Roman jewellery.

Teacher Amy Parsons, from the school, in Court Drove, Overton, said she was delighted with the way pupils threw themselves into the project.

She said: “We are so impressed with what they have created.

“They were asked to think about something connected with the Romans, which inspired them and the children chose a real range of subjects.”
