THE Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for Deane and Ashe.
An alert, released on January 7, states the areas are at risk of groundwater flooding from the River Test.
An update on the situation posted at 3.20pm today, said: “The groundwater level in our borehole in Oakley is high and continuing to rise. Subsequently the River Test is expected to be flowing through Deane.
“Cellar flooding is still possible in properties at Deane. Residents should prepare for groundwater flooding now and make sure that valuables are moved from cellars. Please consider your neighbours and make sure they are aware of the risk and prepared.”
