MILKSHAKES brought all the kids to a stall when pupils sold them to raise money for charity.

Year 7 pupils at Cranbourne Business and Enterprise College, in Basingstoke, were each given £1, which they then had to turn into more money to donate to Naomi House Hospice.

The fundraising challenge at the school, in Wessex Close, raised more than £600 for the charity in Sutton Scotney.

Grace Lewis, 12, used her £1 to make milkshakes, which proved hugely popular with other students.

Working in a group of six, Grace and her friends used their initiative to generate funds, and asked Shakeaway in the town centre to donate paper cups for them to use.

They then combined their pounds to buy chocolate and ingredients for the milkshakes.

All the pupils sold their items at a fair, to which the entire school was invited.

Grace, from Brighton Hill, said: “All our money goes to a brilliant cause. As a tutor group, we raised £243. It was really good to get involved and sell the products.”
