MORE than 20 schools in the borough have taken the decision to open late this morning, to allow staff time to clear away snow.
A blanket of snow is still covering the town today, and with temperatures below freezing, forecasters predict it could take a while to thaw.
The Met Office has issued a warning because of icy conditions on the roads, and has forecast more snow today – probably between one and two centimetres.
Robert May’s School in Odiham is the only school in the borough to close for the entire day, with a message posted to say that ice and snow on the school site has made it unsafe.
