A YOUNG cyclist suffered a head wound after a collision with a car.
The incident took place at 4pm on Monday, January 21, as the 16-year-old boy cycled in Black Dam Way, Black Dam towards Basingstoke town centre.
Police said when he reached the junction with Hogarth Close, his bicycle was hit from behind by a black car, which then sped away.
The impact knocked the rider to the ground and snapped his bicycle in two.
Paramedics treated the boy at the scene.
