AN INSPIRATIONAL businesswoman spoke to Basingstoke students about how to be successful in business.
Jane Sparrow visited Brighton Hill Community School, where she met pupils in Year 10 and 11, who are studying business.
Jane began her career at IBM before setting up two service businesses in 2000 and 2001.
As managing director of The Energy Project Europe, she grew the business from nothing to a multi-million-pound organisation, delivering business in Europe, Asia and Africa.
She has travelled across the world, working with a variety of organisations, including Sony, Google, BBC Worldwide, FedEx, and Save the Children.
Jane has also written The Culture Builders and was co-author of the International Association of Business Communicators Handbook of Organisational Communication.
She now speaks as a keynote presenter at conferences all over the world.
Jane Halsey, assistant head at Brighton Hill Community School, in Brighton Way, said the talk provided “valuable insight and advice” to students.
She added: “This was an excellent opportunity for the students to gain some advice and pose questions which provided them with an excellent platform for their own future success in their chosen careers.”
