NEARLY all local first class mail landed on doormats the day after posting, say Royal Mail.
The company announced that between April and September 2012, 93.6 per cent of first class post in the borough was delivered on time.
The Royal Mail’s performance target is that 93 per cent of first class mail should be delivered by the next working day.
The results account for post sent between April and September 2012 to addresses within the RG postal area, which includes Basingstoke and Deane, west Hart, as well as Reading, Newbury and Wokingham.
Royal Mail’s director of delivery Alan Gairns said: “We are extremely pleased that we are delivering a high-quality service.”
