A SEXUAL health centre has been opened in Basingstoke by Solent NHS Trust.
The centre, in the existing Crown Heights Medical Centre, is a “one-stop shop” for sexual health services, catering for residents of borough and those in the surrounding areas.
The centre offers support and advice on a wide variety of sexual health issues, including sexually transmitted infections and treatment, contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, unplanned pregnancy services and HIV testing and treatment.
It also offers free condoms, psychosexual counselling, sexual health information and advice and referral to vasectomy services.
The service, which opened to the public on January 14, will officially be launched on Thursday, February 21.
Charlotte Bemand, head of sexual health services at Solent NHS Trust, said: “We are really pleased to be opening Crown Heights as a purpose-built, state-of-the-art centre for sexual health services in the local community.”
The centre can be accessed by people of all ages living in the Hampshire area and is open Monday to Saturday.
