ROBBERS held a man to the ground during a robbery on a well-used Basingstoke footpath.
The robbery took place on the path that runs alongside the A30 Winchester Road between Brighton Hill and Down Grange, just after 11pm on Tuesday, January 29.
The 18-year-old victim, who is from Basingstoke, was pushed to the ground from behind and held by one man while another went through his pockets and took his iPhone and wallet.
The two attackers made off towards Brighton Hill.
Detective Constable Andy Gibbs said: “The victim was understandably shaken by this incident.
“The iPhone has been recovered but the wallet, which contained around £100 in cash and various cards, is still missing.”
Both attackers are described as black and aged about 18. Both wore hooded tops with the hoods up and black scarves around their faces.
One wore dark jogging bottoms with a white stripe down the right leg only, a black Nike jacket and a black baseball cap.
The other wore a black coat, dark blue tracksuit bottoms with two stripes down each leg and white trainers.
Anyone with information can contact Det Con Gibbs at Basingstoke CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
