ST MICHAEL'S Hospice has opened its doors to the public for its first art exhibition.
The exhibition, entitled "Triumph Over Adversity", was a celebration of the work and skills of those who attend, or have attended, the day care unit over the years.
The event was formally opened by Jane Benson, High Sheriff of Hampshire.
Jessica Zubaidi, the hospice's fundraising manager, said visitors had been impressed by the quality of the work on show.
"The event went really well," she said. "It brought people into the hospice who wouldn't normally come in."
