PUPILS embarked on an art project of monstrous proportions during a special week of activities at Cliddesden Primary School.
Having spent the week studying the painting "Saint George and the Dragon" by the 15th century Italian master Paolo Uccello, children created a giant wall mural with their own artistic impression of the mystical piece.
Led by visiting professional artist Steve Porter, the children made the mural out of plywood and paint and the piece now hangs proudly in the school for all visitors to see.
The legendary dragon theme was then continued as Mr Porter painted brightly-coloured wall murals in the school toilets.
Headteacher Amanda Harrison said: "It was a whole school project and everyone really enjoyed themselves. One of the parents was a massive help preparing the plywood for us, which was fantastic. We have never done anything like this before - the children kept saying that they didn't want the art week to end."
