Sir.-As a resident of Old Basing, I often go out for walks, and one of my routes takes me along the controversial Hatch Lane.
While walking this road, I have seen a very limited amount of 30mph speed limit signs, all of which are totally inadequate in size and positioning.
If anyone from the local council would care to join me some time to walk the length of Hatch Lane (approximately 10 minutes), they would undoubtedly see for themselves how many car drivers either ignore these signs or simply just don't see them.
