VILLAGERS in Overton have been reminded of the nuisance of lighting bonfires.
A notice in the monthly newsletter states: “Bonfires can be very annoying to neighbours and the smoke, ash and smells prevent people from enjoying their gardens, opening windows or hanging out washing. The smoke also reduces visibility in the neighbourhood and on roads.
“Please be considerate when lighting a bonfire – or try to find other ways to get rid of rubbish.”
