PEOPLE across Basingstoke are being asked to get into the festive spirit by donating old Christmas decorations to give a children’s hospital ward some festive sparkle.
Access Self Storage has launched its Christmas appeal and is calling for residents and businesses across Basingstoke and Deane to donate Christmas decorations including trees, lights, baubles, bells and stocking to the Frimley Park Hospital’s children’s ward.
New and nearly new decorations can be donated to the Access Self Storage branch in Rankine Road, Basingstoke.
A spokesman for Frimley Park Hospital said: “We are grateful that Access Self Storage in Basingstoke has chosen the children’s ward at Frimley Park Hospital for their Christmas appeal.
“We look forward to the opportunity of working with Access once again, following the success of the toy appeal last year, to ensure that each child can enjoy Christmas a little more this year.”
Duncan Robson, manager of the Access Self Storage Basingstoke branch, added: “We have created a special drop-off point in our stores. All the donations will be sorted and delivered to Frimley Park Hospital where they will be used to bring some Christmas magic for everyone who is there during the holidays.”
