CHINEHAM saloon driver Chris Mohan runs his own team, Chris Mohan Racing, in the Maximumgroup.net VAG Trophy Championship.
In his second season he is currently third in the drivers’ championship and his driving ambition is to make the grid of the British Touring Car Championships – the top saloon car championship in the country.
The 25-year-old started his motorsport career at the age of 15 racing go karts.
In 2007 he was one of eight drivers to be picked for the final selection for a Formula BMW scholarship in Valencia, Spain, but unfortunately he did not get a scholarship.
After testing in single seater he turned to saloon racing in the Mini Challenge Championship and now drives a VW Golf Mk4 GTi.
Away from the race track Mohan is an IT technician at a private primary school and is a former pupil of Queen Mary’s College.
