ADRIAN Braine is entrepreneur in residence for The SETsquared Partnership incubation hub based at the Innovation Centre on Basing View.
His role is to support the company’s activity in Basingstoke and help to turn the Basing View hub into a vibrant tech community.
The hub is expected to bring £20 million of investment to Basingstoke as well as support 20 new high growth companies over the next five years.
Adrian describes himself as a business leader and product and go to market expert who helps businesses build great products that get to market fast and drive rapid revenue growth.
1. Who was your childhood hero and why? The guy on Mission Impossible who built all the gadgets – I was fascinated by electronics.
2. What is your most precious possession and why is it important to you? My health because without that you have nothing.
3. What was the first record/CD you bought? Wishbone 4 by Wishbone Ash.
4. What is the radio/television show you hate to miss? Poirot.
5. What is your favourite film? Where Eagles Dare.
6. What is your pet hate? People who are “jobsworths”.
7. What are you reading at the moment? The Book Thief by Markus Zuzak.
8. If you were choosing a last meal, what would it be? Curry.
9. If you could meet anyone from history, who would it be? Yuri Gagarin.
10. If you had a time machine where would it take you? The future.
11. If you were stranded on a desert island what luxury would you choose to have with you? A bottle of Hennessy XO.
12. What sports team do you support? San Francisco 49ers.
13. What was your first job? Electronics technician.
14. If you could take over someone’s job for the day, whose job would you choose? A food critic. Any one of them will do.
15. What worries you the most? My son.
16. What is your proudest moment? As Director of Engineering, launching our new product at the IBC tradeshow.

19. What one thing could change society for the better? If everyone really cared about what they do.
20. What three words best describe you? Integrity, honesty, and originality.
