TRAFFIC has now cleared following heavy delays in a major Basingstoke road following a crash this morning.
The A340 Ringway West was closed both ways as emergency services dealt with an accident which took place at the junction of the Churchill Way West, heading towards the town centre.
The collision involved two vehicles on the Thornycroft roundabout, where two people, one with minor injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries, were taken to Basingstoke hospital.
Two fire engines from Basingstoke and two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene, where the fire service cut a man out of one of the vehicles.
The fire service and South Central Ambulance Service were both called out at 12:52pm today.
