IT WAS a night of not a lot of change at the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council elections.
The Conservatives retained control of the council with 33 seats with Labour the only party to make a real terms gain.
Labour gained a Winklebury seat from the Conservatives who in turn won a Whitchurch seat from the Liberal Democrats.
Therefore, Labour now has 21 seats, the Lib Dems have five and independent councillor Ian Tilbury retained his seat.
The overall turnout for Basingstoke and Deane was 32.21 per cent.
Below are the results of the Basingstoke and Deane borough and Hart district elections held on May 3.
Overall, 20 seats were up for grabs out of the 60 councillor authority.
