AN OCCUPATIONAL therapy practice received a royal visit to open its new building and to highlight the work it does.
The OT Practice, in Osborn Way, Hook, a private occupational therapy practice, hosted Princess Anne on Friday last week to officially open its new head office.
Executive director Nikki Thompson said: “We are honoured to have welcomed Her Royal Highness today.
“It is a fantastic opportunity to elevate the profile of our profession and the diversity of career opportunities open for occupational therapists in the independent sector.”
Princess Anne, patron of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, was given a tour of the new offices and met representatives from the team and their charity commissioners.
The royal then unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion.
She said in a speech afterwards: “It is very encouraging to see that the practice has done well and that people recognise the service that is provided here.
“Thank you very much for having me and good luck with the future of the practice.”
