The M3 northbound near Basingstoke this morning
DRIVERS are facing lengthy delays this morning (Wednesday) after an accident left a lane blocked on the motorway near Basingstoke.
The middle lane of the M3 northbound, near Junction 6, was blocked following an accident just before 8.30am.
It remained closed until just before 9am, and has since reopened but heavy traffic remains in the area.
Tailbacks beyond Junction 8 have been reported as well as delays of up to one hour.
Hampshire Constabulary have been contacted for a comment.
