POLICE seized a sports car worth tens of thousands of pounds after its driver was found driving without insurance near Basingstoke.
Officers stopped a tangerine Ford Mustang on the M3 at Junction 7 after it was spotted driving “at speed” yesterday (Saturday).
After speaking to the driver, it was then revealed that the £45,000 car had not been correctly insured.
Driving without insurance can incur a £300 fine and six penalty points on your licence.
Cases that then go to court could result in an unlimited fine or disqualification from driving.
The police also have the power to seize, and in some cases destroy, the vehicle being driven uninsured.
