D’Andre Brown is one of the brightest prospects coming through the Basingstoke Town Academy.
The 18-year-old midfielder from Popley has established himself in the first team after impressing former manager Martin Kuhl in pre-season and continuing his progress under current boss Dan Brownlie. A boyhood Arsenal fan that started life as a striker before moving into midfield, he naturally names the Gunners record scorer Thierry Henry as a footballing hero of his. He found his way to Basingstoke Town via stints in the youth systems of Southampton and Reading after being picked up while playing for MFC Popley. Their loss is Basingstoke’s gain though as his impressive technical ability has allowed him to slot comfortably into the first team with coaches quick to tip him for a bright future in the professional game.
