A FACEBOOK post of an ambulance worker leaving home for her shift has gone viral after the entire street came out to applaud her.
Emergency care assistant, Tayla Porter, 22, from Bufton Field, North Warnborough, was clapped by her entire street to her car as she left for Basingstoke and North Hampshire hospital on Thursday, March 26.
After a few residents posted on the family’s village forum about joining in the national clap for carers applause at 8pm, Ali told her neighbours that her eldest daughter would be in work from 4pm.
The 22-year-old care worker was fighting back tears as mum, Ali, 55, dad Phil, 55, and sister Tash, 21, stood outside watching.
I just love where we live, everyone in our street united to wave Tayla off on her paramedic shift tonight just the boost she needed 🥰 The heroes chocolates and homemade cake were a lovely touch too xx We could hear the applause all the way up Queens Road too

There was also a packet of Cadbury’s Miniature Heroes and homemade cake placed on top of her car.

Tayla is seen rubbing her eyes, struck with emotion as she waves at residents on her street.
Ali says on the Facebook video: “Oh look, oh Tayla look around here. You have got to go all the way around and then off to work. Have a good shift.”
Speaking to the Gazette, Ali said: "Tayla is totally humbled by the reaction. The reaction is good for all key workers, postmen, and binmen. She loves her job and never knows what she will face every day.
"Tayla was totally overwhelmed and didn't know about the surprise. Neighbours started clapping and everyone joined in.
"People were shouting nice words of encouragement to her. The applause was unbelievable and you could hear it all around the back of our house.
"As she drove around, I could hear the applause, it was like a mexican wave. The only reason I put it on Facebook was because my mum lives in Spain and I wanted them to see what the neighbours had done.
"Everyone came out on Queen's Road as well. She couldn't stop crying because she was so overwhelmed by it all."
The post has been watched more than 700,000 times and shared more than 48,000 times on Facebook.
