A BEGGARWOOD man has been disqualified from driving after he was caught unfit to drive through drugs.
Jack Mark William Steel, of Ferndown Close, was found unfit to drive through drugs whilst behind the wheel of a black Mercedes on May 12, 2019 on New Road.
The 21-year-old, who had initially pleaded not guilty before changing, was fined £450, and ordered to pay costs of £250 and a victim surcharge of £45.
He has also been disqualified from driving for a year.
A MAN from Oakridge will be sentenced this week for stealing £12,500 worth of valuables.
Harry Maggio, of Freemantle Close, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing a gold bar, diamond ring and a diamond in the town on January 13.
He has been released on unconditional bail whilst a pre-sentence report is prepared, before sentencing on Friday, June 19.
The Italian-South African dual national had previously been accused of taking a Nissan Juke from an address at Reading last December without the consent of the owner.
However, after the 28-year-old pleaded not guilty to that charge in January, it was dismissed as no evidence was offered by the prosecution.
A BATTERSEA man was caught speeding at 90 miles per hour on the M3 near Basingstoke.
Oneil Ahmed, of Cambridge Road, was caught 20 miles per hour over the speed limit in a Vauxhall Vectra at junction 7 on November 7, 2019.
He has pleaded guilty to speeding via single justice procedure, and a date for sentencing will be decided at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on July 24.
The case has been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
A BUCKSKIN man was caught nearly 15 miles per hour over the speed limit last year.
Takanaka Muroyiwa, of Cheviot Close, was caught driving a Vauxhall Insignia at 64 miles per hour, when the temporary speed limit was 50 mph.
It occurred between junctions 8 and 9 of the M27, at Swanwick.
The 31-year-old's case has been adjourned until July 24 for sentencing, after he pleaded guilty via single justice procedure.
A DATE will be set for the sentencing of a man who was caught driving without insurance in Basingstoke earlier this year.
Mason Thomas Saunders, of Harroway in Hurstbourne Priors, was found on the A339 on February 27, driving a Volkswagen Golf without insurance.
He pleaded guilty via single justice procedure last month, and the case has been adjourned because of the coronavirus pandemic.
A date will be set on July 24, when the case is reheard at Aldershot Magistrates' Court.
A MAN from Basingstoke has been disqualified from driving for three years.
Matthew John Pullen, of Shetland Road, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit whilst disqualified from driving and without insurance.
He was caught doing so on Churchill Way West on November 24, 2019.
The 30-year-old was disqualified from driving for three years, as well as being ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £90 and carry out a community order of 120 hours unpaid work.
A WOMAN from South Ham has been found guilty of making a false statement to claim Universal Credit.
Kelly Marie McEntee, of Hill View Road, told the Department for Work and Pensions that she had no savings, when actually she had in excess of £6,000.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge, but was found guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week.
The 49-year-old was ordered to pay costs of £150, a victim surcharge of £85 and carry out a community order of 50 hours unpaid work.
