The 19-year-old also did so without having the correct driving license or insurance policy in place.
He pleaded guilty to all four charges at Basingstoke magistrates court and was fined £100 for taking the vehicle, and £60 apiece for failing to drive in a particular line of traffic and getting behind the wheel without insurance.
He was also made to pay a £32 victim surcharge and disqualified from driving for three months.

The 31-year-old admitted the charges at Basingstoke magistrates court, where he was also convicted of committing an offence while a previous community order was in force, which had been issued in January after he assaulted a police officer.
McGuigan was given a community order with a requirement to complete 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and attend 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

However the 33-year-old changed his plea this week and admitted to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
A further charge of assaulting one of the harassment victims at the same address was dismissed due to lack of evidence.
For the harassment charges, West was fined £495 and made to pay £350 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service. He was also ordered to give both of the victims £100 in compensation.
A community order with a requirement to complete 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days was also imposed, and a restraining order preventing West from attending Stalls Crescent or contacting the victims was also put in place.
