EIGHT people have been sentenced, and seven sent to prison, after admitting involvement with a 'slick, professional and extensive' county lines drug network operating in Basingstoke.
The G 423 network, based out of a housing association property in Tewksbury Close, Popley, was in operation for more than a year between 2018 and 2019.
This month, eight people have appeared before Winchester Crown Court to be sentenced for the offences.

They are:
LOUIS ROBINSON-VENTOUR, 20, of Ashmead Road, Feltham. He was sentenced to six years and eight months in a Young Offenders' Institution. The court heard how he was the younger cousin of the suspected kingpin of the drugs line. Prosecutor Mark Ruffell said he played "a crucial role running drugs couriers from Hounslow to Basingstoke and enabling class A drugs to get to Basingstoke to be sold".
ABDIRAHMAN ABDI, 21, of Biscoe Close, Hounslow. He was sentenced to four years and four months in a Young Offenders' Institution. The court heard how he had a "significant role" in both the G 423 network, as well as a sister line running in Hounslow.
AYODEJI ADE-OLISAEMEKA, 20 of Loughton. He was sentenced earlier this month to three years in a Young Offenders' Institution for his part in drugs networks in Basingstoke, Borehamwood and Hertford.
JACK OLIVEIRA, 21 of Lambeth. He was sent to a Young Offenders' Institution for five years after admitting to possession of a sawn-off shotgun in Popley, as well as his role in the Basingstoke drugs line.
JEFFREY ZANI, 20, of Tewkesbury Close, Popley. He was sent to a Young Offenders' Institution for seven years and four months the court heard he was "the key player on the ground in Basingstoke". It was his property that the line operated out of, and Mr Ruffell said that he operated the line most of the time.
MATTHEW TEMPLE, 47, of Mendip Close, Buckskin. He was sent to four years and eight months in prison after admitting to being the 'transport division' of the gang. He would use his job as a taxi driver in Basingstoke to transport runners and couriers around, and continued to do so even after being disqualified from driving.
MOHAMMED ZAZAI, 20, of Sussex Avenue, Isleworth. He was sentenced to five years in a Young Offenders Institution. Zazai was arrested in September of 2019 and the investigating officers discovered that he was running another Class A crack cocaine and heroin drug line in Hounslow. He pleaded guilty to two offences of being concerned in supplying Class A drugs, namely cocaine and heroin between March 1, 2019 and September 2, 2019 in the Hounslow area.
DEXTA NEWMAN-PARSONS, 18, of Quantock Close, Buckskin. He was 15 years old when he became involved in the network, and the court heard how he tried to revive the line after it was disrupted following the arrest of a fellow gang member. He was sentenced to 20 months - suspended for two years. He was also ordered to complete 100 hours Community Payback work.
