AN ACCOUNTANT has lost four stone in just three months in a big to raise money for charity.
Jon Mills, managing director of Black and White Accounting, took on the challenge in aid of Ark Cancer Centre Charity and raised £965 so far.
Father-of-four Jon said: "I had a couple of hiccups along the way, but I'm delighted to have achieved both of my goals.
"It wasn’t easy at times, but my strong motivation for this was my kids, and I also wanted to raise as much money as possible for the amazing Ark Cancer Centre Charity."
Jon, who was coached and supported on his weight-loss challenge by award-winning The 1:1 Diet Consultant Georgina Jeffery, added: "I have had some great support along the way from Georgina, family and friends, and I am delighted to have got across the finish line with one pound to spare.
Mark Jones, Ark Cancer Centre Charity’s director of fundraising and communications, said: “Congratulations to Jon on this amazing achievement. This was a really big challenge and Jon has done so well to achieve his target weight and raise so much for Ark."
“Every pound raised by Jon will help Ark to help and support cancer patients and their loved ones. His support, at what has been a particularly challenging time for charities, means such a lot and has made a big difference.”
Ark Cancer Centre Charity is raising £5million to help Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) colleagues fund and deliver supportive care and services, complementary therapies, and an enhanced environment for patients and families.
