A MAN from Oxfordshire has been accused of attempting to kill a police officer in Basingstoke.
Thomas Gracey, from Littlemore, was alleged to have stabbed the officer, who is in his 20s, at Churchill Place on Easter Sunday (April 12).
The officer was responding to a concern for welfare when police say he was stabbed with two knives.

It caused injuries to his head, neck and hands, and he required hospital treatment for his wounds.
An eye-witness told the Gazette they saw as many as six police cars, plus two ambulances, at the scene during the evening of Easter Sunday.
They said one person was injured and stretchered into an ambulance, while another was taken away in a police van.
The officer has since made a full recovery and returned to work.
Gracey, 44, will appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on December 10, charged with attempted murder.
