A MAN accused of murder has been acquitted of a related charge.
Terrence Maccabee is accused of killing Taylor Williams in Shooters Way, Oakridge, last August, and is currently standing trial after being charged with murder, alongside Olamide Soyege.
The 19-year-old was also charged with robbery, conspiracy to rob and two counts of knife possession.
However, one of those knife possession charges has been dropped after the judge determined that he had no case to answer.
The Southwark resident was found not guilty of possession of a bladed article in Shooters Way.
After hearing a representation from his counsel, Tana Adkin QC, Judge Martin Spencer told jurors at Winchester Crown Court today (Friday) that he had determined that there was not enough evidence presented to find the teenager guilty of that charge.
He remains on trial for murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a knife in Bermuda Park, Popley.
Soyege, 29 from Dagenham, is accused of murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of possession of a knife, one in Bermuda Park and the other in Shooters Way.
Paige Taylor, 24 from Basingstoke, is accused of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The trial continues. The trio deny all charges.
