An update from Basingstoke Fire Service now confirms all occupants have suffered serious injuries.
The fire destroyed the ground floor of the property and smoke damage occur to the first floor.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus, two jets and a ventilation fan.
Mr Simpson, who lives on Falkland Road said: "I didn't even hear a fire engine go by. We had no knowledge of it at all. The first we heard about it was when one of our friends on Jersey close phoned us to make sure we were okay."
Another resident said: "We saw the fire at about 6am, when there was nobody there. Then my partner woke me up and saw the blue flashing lights. We didn't see anything. It is really scary when it happens next to you. I hope they are all okay."
