HAMPSHIRE fans of The Chase would have been shouting the correct answer at the TV on Boxing Day when this question came up.
The ITV quiz show hosted by Bradley Walsh sees contestants play against a professional quizzer, known as the "chaser", who attempts to prevent them from winning a cash prize.
In this high stake celebrity special that first aired on Boxing Day 2020, a Hampshire question helped the contestants bag £60,000 for charity.
The general knowledge question about the county’s unique named towns may have confused some viewers but for Hampshire residents the answer was simple.
As comedian Josie Long went head-to-head with Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett she was faced with this final question.
“What follows Over, Nether and Middle to make the names of three villages Hampshire?”: Bradley Walsh asked.
Josie and The Beast were given three options “Crash”, “Bang” or “Wallop”.
Of course we all know Wallop is the correct answer and luckily so did Josie and she managed to bag £60,000 in the prize fund pot for charity.
The Wallops are three villages close to each other in Test Valley just seven miles south of Andover.
Celebrity contestants Josie Long, Nicky Campbell, Anne Diamond and Colin Jackson managed to beat all five Chasers and win a huge £140,000 for charity.
