TWO injured after four cars crash on A30 this morning, Hampshire Constabulary confirm.
The Northbound lane on A30 Winchester Road was blocked at around 9am this morning after four vehicles were involved in a collision.
The crash occurred between M3 J7 Basingstoke South / Dummer and Beggarwood Lane.
A spokesperson for Hampshire constabulary said: “We were called at 8.49 this morning (Monday 8 February) to a report of a multi-vehicle collision on the A30, Winchester Road at the junction with Beggarwood Lane.
“Officers attended and found that four vehicles that had come to a stop at a red traffic light were involved in the incident, in which one vehicle had hit another from behind, which then caused a concertina effect causing damage to two further vehicles.”
A black Porsche Cayenne, a grey Range Rover Sport, a black Audi A4 S Line and a silver Ford Transit were involved in the incident and two of the drivers reported minor injuries.
The spokesperson added: “One lane was blocked for a short time while the incident was dealt with. The incident is currently under investigation.”
All lanes are now cleared on Winchester Road, Saunders Way and Beggarwood Lane.
